EmpowerHER – Indians in Calgary Women's Day Celebration 2025 

Indians in Calgary organized EmpowerHER, a dynamic Women’s Day celebration dedicated to honoring the resilience, achievements, and leadership of women in our community. This empowering event will take place at Sankalp Restaurant, Calgary, on March 8, 2025.

With a theme of "Break the Bias" and "Celebrating Women in Leadership," the event aims to foster inclusivity, highlight inspiring women leaders, and acknowledge the vital contributions of women in all walks of life.

Key Highlights of the Event:

• Distinguished Guests & Speakers: Special addresses by Councilor Sonya Sharp, Former MP Jag Sahota, and Indigenous activist Chantal Chagnon.

• EmpowerHER Maya Scholarship Launch: A new initiative by Indians in Calgary to support young female students excelling academically, in sports, art and culture or any extra circular activities.

• Community Recognition & Networking: A celebration of women who challenge norms, inspire change, and build a more inclusive future.
